Our mission at Wrench & Roll seeks to help each person achieve more activity in their life through education, effective equipment purchases, and special events. We expect each customer to leave our store with more knowledge than when they came in. We take special pride in helping customers achieve the best new ride experience possible. Matthew Christen, Proprietor and resident Cyclist.
Having ridden over 75,000 miles including rides on 4 continents, seeing the world by bike is the best! Matthew can be seen commuting around town, heading out on a S24O, or on the MTB trails. Matthew brings a broad background to Wrench & Roll having organized the first Midwest Active Transportation Conference held at UW-LaCrosse, operated Logan Bike Works-an after-school program, conducted fitness classes in group cycling, and is a nationally licensed cycling instructor through the Bicycle League of America. Matthew co-authored the Bike-Share Feasibility study for the city of La Crosse and helped champion the efforts that eventually led to the adoption of the bike share program.

Nathan Tock, Mechanic and Sales.
Nathan spent a good part of his youth training and developing in the world of bike racing. Nathan trained at the United Bicycle Institute for mechanics.He brings previous bike shop experience. While living in New Orleans, LA, he volunteered at Rhubarb Bikes. He enjoys many aspects of bicycles and bicycling- builds, rides, and talking bikes.
